Shideya Parrilla

Shideya Parrilla was born and raised on the Caribbean island of St. Croix to a Catholic family. She moved to Washington, DC to attend American University where she encountered and began developing a living relationship with the person of Jesus Christ through the ministry of AUCatholic. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from American University with a Bachelor’s in International Studies in December of 2019, and was honored that winter to be the undergraduate commencement speaker! Since then she has sought to help other young adults encounter the Lord and place Him at the center of their lives. On the heels of serving as a full time volunteer missionary at the Newman Center at Oregon State University, she is excited to return to her alma mater to continue working for Christ’s Kingdom.
